Fishing report 12 Jan 26-Lake Palestine- Water level 3 to 6 inches low, water temps 50-53 degrees.
Normal winter has finally arrived, air and water temps, and water levels, are now down around average for this time.
Bass had started to move, have stopped, now look for them in the 8 ft water off of points and near channels, examples Cheney Bay and Smith Point entrance to Saline. Bass club tournaments are having most success on slower moving large plastics.
Crappie guys are still doing well on the white crappie in 16-22 ft brush/timber, black crappie don't seem to have begun their move toward shallows yet.
Catfish remain good, primarily at night on trots and jugs, using cut bait, but rod and reelers aredoing good on daytime cats with shrimp and cut baits on channel edges.
